Personal Chef Training with Jessica

Today on the show, we meet Chef Jessica from sunny San Diego, California. Chef Jessica has been a chef for over 24 years. She graduated from Johnson and Wales University in 1996 and went on to study at La Varenne in Burgundy, France. She moved from the East Coast to the West Coast in 1997 to San Diego, CA. There, she worked as a sous chef for a well-known caterer for many years who had lots of celebrities as clients. She learned the fine art of VIP catering. On January 1, 2000, Jessica officially started her own personal chef business, Entrée Nous. This was right after Y2K for those of you who are old enough to remember. Entrée Nous means "between us" in French. It implied the level of customization she offered each of her clients. In 2002, Chef Jessica was named San Diego's Best Personal Chef by San Diego Magazine. In 2018, Jessica started creating her course, The Prosperous Personal Chef to teach others how to start and sustain a successful personal chef business. We've cooked up many surprises for you in this episode. Grab an appetizer, a drink and sit back at the Chef’s table and enjoy our show.

Chef Jessica Leibovich

Chef Jessica has been a chef for over 24 years. She graduated from Johnson and Wales University in 1996 and went on to study at La Varenne in Burgundy, France that same year. She moved from the East Coast to the West Coast in 1997 to San Diego, CA. There, she worked as a sous chef for a well-known caterer for many years who had lots of celebrities as clients. She learned the fine art of VIP catering. On January 1, 2000, Jessica officially started her own personal chef business, Entree Nous. This was right after Y2K for those of you who are old enough to remember. Entree Nous means "between us" in French. It implied the level of customization she offered each of her clients.

In 2002, Chef Jessica was named San Diego's Best Personal Chef by San Diego Magazine. Other media outlets did stories on her as well, often due to Jessica's outreach, and her business expanded quickly. She went on to cook for many professional athletes, cancer patients and specialized in working with other clients with serious health challenges. Over the years her business evolved from cooking and catering to teaching, coaching, and public speaking as well. She spent many years as a volunteer at Scripps Cancer Research Institute for Integrative Cancer Services. In 2018, Jessica started creating her course, The Prosperous Personal Chef to teach others how to start and sustain a successful personal chef business. Then, after 18 years of running her chef business, Chef Jessica got a phone call and was offered a unique opportunity at a hospital in Orange County, CA. She unexpectedly accepted a full-time position in health care as an Executive Chef and has been working in health care for the last three years as an Executive chef keeping patients and medical staff nourished and safe through the pandemic. After seeing so many of her fellow hospitality workers lose their jobs, restaurants, and worse their lives over the past year, she felt a strong urge to finish The Prosperous Personal Chef to help cooks and chefs looking to pivot in their career. She also has created a free private group where chefs can have a safe place to get support and advice in their business. Chef Jessica is passionate about helping the next generation of talented chefs create thriving businesses that will give them the freedom to enjoy their lives and a stable income as well.
